The battery cover is missing, I did put 4 AA batteries in and it works on rewind, it also turns on play,but the tape wouldn’t move. When you take the tape out ,the motor is running. The meter works as well. You will need to fiddle around with this to get it to work right. Well built. I believe Sanyo built this for Westinghouse. Flat rate shipping in USA $9.75.
