For sale is one pair of E88CC/6922 tubes, in superb condition, by Siemens of Germany, also in real solid gold plating, not just in gold colour like most tubes, in generic boxes. These are the holy grille of tubes when comparing to all the E88CC/6922/6DJ8/ECC88 tubes.I was fortunate to save these few pairs for my memorabilia when I left the SP/AR in the mid 1960s. SP/AR (Special Products & Applied Research), was later called SPAR Aerospace Co. in the ’70 and later. They had a few projects going on in those formative years, including the CANADARM, BOMARC FUSING systems, AND INFRA-RED DETECTING units, to name just a few. The E88CC’s were used in the most high tech expensive instruments. When the E88CC’s were introduced into the North America at that time, all the instrument makers jumped on the wagon to use them in their most expensive instruments. The average grade instruments were equipped with the cheaper 6DJ8’s. In those years, one high tech scope cost about $2000 to $3000. That was about half a year of an engineer’s salary. And yet, there were only two such expensive tubes available in each instrument. That’s the reason I call these the holy grille of tubes with justification.Tubes were made by Siemens in Germany. These are the most prestige tubes available to day in its class, with gold pin, special filament winding (to achieved the low signal-to-noise ration), chrome shield between the dual triodes. The top two getter posts supporting the solid getter are much like an “A” frame, or the “H” frame, very rare appearance.Judging by gold pins, these tubes were very lightly used in the past, and the ratings are virtually new.The Siemens codes (post mounted): A6/7E, and A6/7F. These tubes were computer-checked for exact ratings and other things in those days prior to installation.Test ratings: 105/105 and 106/108 on my Jackson 648s tester, minimum at 70, new tubes at about 105. SHIPPING: Combined shipping allowed to save you a bundle. Will refund your savings after your purchases. Shipping to USA and Canada with tracking. In case your country is excluded, please contact the Seller to get permission to buy ( and to waive the higher tracking fees charged by Canada Post). Please pay in 3 days. Combined shipping is welcome. If you have paid for individual items and have surplus shipping fee paid for, I will refund you immediately when I send out the combined parcel.
