10/10/23 – JH It is a little dirty/dusty. It does play Cassettes and radio works as well. Plug in or uses “D” batteries (included). The battery compartment is in good shape as well, no rust! If you do not want the battery’s, the weight of the package will go down by 2 pounds. It is approx. 15-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ x 5″ tall (not including the handle). Panasonic FM14 Boom Box, Radio Works Great, Cassette Works But Has Issue, Black
The product is a Panasonic FM14 boombox with a radio feature that works great. The cassette feature works but has an issue. It seems to play the tape but if I try to rewind or ff , then stop and take the tape out it will pull some of the tape out. I’m not sure if it’s something simple or if I’m just not doing something right. I only did minor testing with it. But the radio works great. It does occasionally have a small rattle sound I’m not sure if that has to do with the cassette part or not. I’m selling it as is with minor testing. Radio is working , tape deck is working but the fast forward only moves without a tape in it all the other tape functions are working , probably needs a new belt for the fast forward, antenna is a little loose , I did not test the headphones, unit is in good overall cosmetic condition but could use a cleaning if desired but not necessary to use or display , this is a rare 80’s boombox they do not sound the greatest and it is more of a collectable, the strap is intact and functional, thanks for looking !
