These foams are designed for refoaming the angle attach cones that used the thin lip flat attach foam. These foams are not for the flat attach cones, the ones that have the flat lip on the edge of the cone, like the D9.

Recone kit for the Cerwin Vega 122W2 woofer. Red over gray foam like original. All new high precision voice coils, on ALUMINUM formers like the originals. Cerwin used aluminum formers for a reason. They are stronger and dissipate heat better than kapton, which is what everyone else uses in their kits these days. Several years, and more recones than I can count went into developing these to provide kits that not only take the pounding that I know you’re going to give them, but also match the t/s parameters of the originals. These cones are pressed rather than pulp, so they are thinner but more dense, and retain the same mass as original. The “dot” pattern on these cones is slightly more pronounced which you can see up close. I have sold MANY of these kits, and MANY woofers using these kits, and everyone has been extremely happy with their performance. These spiders are initially stiffer than the tan ones, so they do take a few hours to break in, however the x-max is identical. If you prefer the stock looking spiders, message me when you buy them and I’m happy to put those in instead. Kits include everything in the picture. Shims available on request. Kits include everything in the picture, all the glue and epoxy, and pack of 4 shims for tight accurate shimming. NOTE: If you have the W121-4 woofer (280se), that woofer takes a different voice coil and dustcap, so if you need that recone kit, you can buy these, but message me when you do, and I will include the correct voice coil and dustcap for you. Also, these kits take the most commonly used 4 ohm coils that were used in those woofers. But some 121-4 woofers were made as 8 ohms with no difference in the part number. If you need 8 ohm recone kits, contact me first, but I currently do have the 8 ohm coils in stock.
