These capacitors are ideal replacements for the main capacitors in various vintage audio equipment, including the Sansui AU-717, AU-517, AU-719, Marantz 2285 (not the 2285B), and Pioneer SX-750. They fit perfectly in the existing clamps. I personally use these capacitors when restoring vintage gear. Each capacitor measures 40mm in diameter and 75.8mm in height, with clearly marked + and – terminals. Although slightly shorter than the original capacitors, they may offer higher capacitance and voltage ratings while being excellent replacements. Installation note: Main filter capacitors typically supply the positive and negative rails to the amplifier section, so it’s normal for two to appear wired in reverse (positive to chassis ground). Before replacing your capacitors, take clear pictures of the current wiring for reference. If your equipment starts blowing fuses after the replacement, it is likely that one or more capacitors have been wired incorrectly. Please refer to the provided pictures for further details.
