SquareTrade © AP6.0This listing is for a Very Rare Pair of Altec Lansing 833-A Verde Speaker with 602B Coaxial & N-3000-B Crossover. The speakers cabinet were probably made somewhere in the mid to late 1950’s or early 1960’s at the latest. They were not made for very long and as such there are not that many of the Verde cabinets around. The dims of the cabinets are top is 42″ wide, 30 1/2″ high and 18″ deep. One of the tops of the cabinets is in very good condition and the the top of the second speaker cabinet has had wood grain contact paper put on it. The condition of the cabinets is pretty well described in the pictures and looks to be pretty solid inside and out. Each speaker cabinet stands on 4 legs as seen in pictures. The speakers are not too far in manufacture time as one is serial number 119 and the other is serial number 163. The cabinets are loaded with original Altec Lansing 602-B coaxial speakers. One speaker is in almost mint condition if not for a nick on the magnet cover and dust on the paper cone. The second speaker had the original paper cone replaced with a paper cone that is a re-manufacture of the original Altec cone there is also a minor nick on the fiberglass horn on that speaker and minor dent on the magnet cover which all can be seen in the pictures. Both speakers have the original N-3000-B crossovers and one of the 602B speakers looked like it had never been removed from the cabinet since their original mounting over 60 years ago until I removed the speaker to take pictures of it. The second 602B looks like it has had the paper cone replace and has a 1983 date on back of cone. The cone does look like an Altec cone but I am not positive. The speakers were tested for sound reproduction and passed with flying colors. The Verde speakers are a very nice sounding and very efficient vintage speaker combinations. They are a rare and collectible combination. Due to age it is being sold AS IS. The buyer pays for shipping and handling/packing, there is a small international paperwork preparation fee of $100 per package for items being shipped outside of the Continental USA.
