Over the decades the original grills have all yellowed significantly due to UV light and cigarette smoke, but originally they were off-white. They are thicker and much higher quality than the original grill backers, which often break near the woofer hole.Re-covering the original KLH grills is not as simple as it may first appear, the backers are thin and standard staples will poke through.
